		Jacques Dutronc rapidly made a name for himself on the French music scene and went on to become artistic director of the Vogue label, where he was responsible for signing new artists and writing material for his new protégés.
		Dutronc’s songs, which have become absolute classics of their time, are frequently covered by modern French music stars (as was recently the case with Vanessa Paradis who recorded a catchy new version of "Les Cactus").

		Dutronc started as a guitarist in the small rock group El Toro et les Cyclones, who recorded two singles.
		In 1965, he was asked by the manager of Françoise Hardy to write a few songs for her, so Dutronc composed "Le Temps de l'Amour" and "Va Pas Prendre un Tambour." Having proven himself a successful songwriter, Dutronc decided to pursue a solo career.
