Jade (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jade is a fictional character, a superhero from DC Comics.
Jade's mother, the Golden Age villain known as Thorn, was briefly married to Alan Scott, but fled upon conceiving their children, fearing she would harm them.
Jade's powers greatly resemble those of the Green Lantern Corps: she is able to generate green energy and shape it into constructs according to her will.

List of Green Lanterns - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first Green Lantern to appear in comic books is not a member of the Green Lantern Corps, but instead the inheritor of a mystic power (later established to be the Starheart, a sentient concentration of magical energy).
Scott still appears in DC comics as Green Lantern, after retaken the name after a brief period of using the name Sentinel.
He represented the Golden Age mentality of comics, accidentally making a racist gaffe when he told the African-American Green Lantern John Stewart "you're a credit to your race"; however, the Green Guardsman proved to be a loyal superhero of a bygone era, and willingly sacrificed himself to defend the Earth he protected.

Jade is a central figure in a running sub-plot with Kyle, and she plays a significant role in Book Three.
Jade was hit by one of the Sleepers’ blasts, knocked through a wall into the bedroom, the wind knocked out of her as she returned fire, keeping the Sleeper at bay.
Jade ducked into the living room, diving for the floor, and the Sleepers in there were hit by antimatter bursts from the Sleepers pursuing her from the bedroom, buying Jade precious seconds to reach the door.

The book opens with Jade waking up to discover that Kyle is off saving the world with the JLA, and as she staggers her way to the coffee pot she overhears a news report about a massive fire down on the docks.
However when Jade learns that the person responsible for putting out the fire is Killer Frost, we see Jade has to step in and point out to the celebrating firemen, that this one good deed doesn't erase the fact that Killer Frost is a wanted criminal.
However, while Jade is arguing the point we see Killer Frost uses this distraction to knock Jade for a loop, as she blasts the distracted hero into a nearby warehouse.

In all likelihood, the PlayStation 2 sequel to Jade Cocoon will likely experience the same kind of mediocre success, as it will undoubtedly be overshadowed on the retail end by the likes of Final Fantasy X from Square.
However, just like the original, Jade Cocoon 2 will be enjoyed by those who give is a chance, as it's as enjoyable as monster breeding games can get.
The soundtrack for Jade Cocoon 2 is very good and is pleasant to listen to but it's just a bit too subdued for my tastes.

She is a unique Imperial agent, has abilities in the Force, physically adept, skilled in arts of espionage and combat, she holds a hint of compassion despite her training, and she's smart enough to give the Emperor an acceptable answer.
One of the better concepts to come out of the novels and comics is the idea that the Emperor had layer upon layer of checks and schemes in his galactic plan, and what was on the surface was only part of the story.
