		JADIS then were a four piece electric quartet with Martin Orford (IQ) on keyboards, Steve Christey on the drums, John Jowitt on the bass and the amazing Gary Chandler on guitars and vocals.
		Jadis is not a band I wholeheartedly support but this album is one of my top 20 and I highly recommend it to fans of solid and creative progressive music.
		It would be true to say that the debut offers both the widest variety, musical complexity and technical prowess of any of their studio albums, and as a consequence the best vehicle for Chandler's clean, catchy guitar work, which can alternate with ease between melody and aggressive hard rock riffs.

		Despite (or perhaps because of?) Jadis' polished professionalism, the album is not powerfully adventurous, and its compositions lack distinctive hooks or energy.
		JADIS is another one of those great bands that has seemed to slip through the cracks in the immense pool of talent worldwide (at least for me), until now.
		In my opinion JADIS are one of the best "Prog" bands anywhere, and Gary Chandler is a great guitarist and a pretty fair vocalist as well, the rest of the band are also very good.

		Jadis has released a CD that lets a grittiness into their sound, a grittiness that is well known to fans who have seen the band live.
		While this is still sounding like a Jadis effort, the sheer immediacy of the sound and the grit that Chandler breathes into this CD marks it as one of the best CD's Jadis has released.
