As with the title Sainsbury?s Plain Chocolate Jaffa Cakes may not be the original, but I think they come very close to be the best.
After biting through the top coating of the plain chocolate and bottom biscuit part I come to the taste of the orange centre.
I find that Sainsbury?s Jaffa cakes do keep fresh even if the box is left open, although I try and keep the box closed.

As far as we are aware, there is no way of dunking a Jaffa Cake in tea without the chocolate washing off and the cake becoming overly soggy.
Perhaps we could suggest that you could design an extra special Jaffa Cake with all the original qualities and the ability to be dunked.

I think the jist of it was that the Inland Revenue said that although Jaffa Cakes are called cakes they are biscuits and therefore VAT should be paid.
Th jaffa cake debate not only centred on whether it was a cake but also how much choc was on it - thankfully it is thin enough to get away with and avoid the VAT.
It all depended on whether it was regarded as food, which would make it zero rated, or as a chocolate, sweet confection, which would make it a snack food and standard rated.
