		CBI after interrogating 20 witnesses changed the charge against Jagir Kaur and six of the accused named in the FIR, from section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) to 302 IPC (murder).
		Jagir Kaur had appeared before the CBI on Nov 17 following the court's direction and was interrogated for three hours.
		Reacting to a demand for her resignation as SGPC chief, Jagir Kaur had claimed in Amritsar on Thursday that she was innocent and her political opponents were making a "big issue" out of the incident.

		There are many more cases filed against Jagir Kaur which include misuse of SGPC funds, disbursal of tort grants leading to fund depletion, unlawful appointments of staff, nepotism and prejudice in staff selections and many violations of the Gurdwara Act.
		It does not require an intelligent brain to infer that the person who is the president of SGPC and also at the helm of sikh affairs today is corrupt and steers an organization not on the principles of truth and righteousness but instead prefers cronyism and runs a venal administration.
