		Jai Alai (also referred to as pelota) is played on a three walled court, called a “fronton,” by two players or two teams of players.
		The most recent addition to the Jai Alai uniform is the helmet, which did not become mandatory until 1968 after a Jai Alai star was hit in the head with a pelota and suffered a career ending injury.
		With a successful strike, the Jai Alai player may use any of a combination of the three walls and floor on the fronton to score a point on his opponent as long as he or she strikes the frontis first.
