Jak is flown to the harsh island and dumped.
At times, Jak 3 seems to be scraping the bottom of the idea barrel...While this final chapter is not the platforming clinic of the first, nor the trendsetter of the second, it is an extremely satisfying finish for the series.
Jak 3 fixes everything that was wrong with the overrated Jak 2 and refines the platforming elements that made the original a hit with fans.

Light Jak introduces new move sets, including the ability to glide great distances, emit an energy to block enemy attack, and power up at anytime, all of which provide the player with a sense of being invincible.
Jak 3 is no different, but this time around I've been particularly impressed with the level of detail that has been given to the new worlds and environments, the new bad guys, and the absolute gorgeous cut-scenes.
Jak 3 is a fantastic game that closes out the Jak trilogy in style.

Also in Jak 3 some monks grant you the ability to turn into “light” Jak, which is more of a defensive form, allowing for regeneration, shields, and limited flight capability.

Jak III is a progression of that and while its nothing terribly new (especially after seeing Jak II), it tops off the series as a worthy ending and a great time (if this is truly the “end”).
There were two things that many people used to connect Jak II to Grand Theft Auto and those were the ability to ride vehicles around a giant hub, and the mission based structure the game took on where you would go to various people to pick up missions and not always in a set order.
Jak III is a bit linear at first, but quickly drops back into giving you some choices of what you want to do first.

I'm a bit late with this review of Jak 3, I've been away in the Peak District, the scenery is very nice at this time of year and its a very relaxing place to be unlike this game.
Jak 3's biggest selling point has to be the number of vehicles on offer powerful dune buggies to travel and to race in through the vast desert landscapes to jet bikes, hangliders, jetboards and mech suits and war droids.
Again as before Jak can get rid of anyone who gets in his way with the weapons at his disposal, which can all be upgraded throughout the game.

Though there are gamers who prefer their platformer games to be a little more flat and, well, platformery, "Jak 3" introduces smooth transitions between gameplay types, and nothing feels thrown-in.

The whole town seems very distrustful against Jak for his dark mysterious powers, so one night there is a surprise attack against the palace, which gives Count Verger the opportunity to banish our beloved Jak from the city and to the not so lovely wastelands.
In Jak 3 we are given a game in which isn't all that much different from last year's game.
Jak 3 is, hands down, one of the best looking games for the PS2 right now.
