Zap2it - TV news - CTU Team May Dwindle on '24'
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reiko Aylesworth and James Badge Dale have been informed that the show isn't picking up their options to be series regulars for the show's fourth season, which will premiere next January.
The fact that Aylesworth, Dale and Bernard won't be back next season as regulars doesn't mean that they won't have recurring roles and the fact that they only have recurring roles won't prevent them from appearing in multiple episodes.
Following the show's first season, Sarah Clarke's option wasn't picked up and yet her Nina Myers managed to wreak havoc in a number of episodes in both the second and third seasons (based on the bullets currently lodged in her head and heart, she's doubtful to be back next year).

Unfortunately, the expensive (in apparent production costs, and at $70, certainly in ticket price) risk that is this new off-Broadway production leans towards the latter, leaving its audience befuddled and a cast of Broadway darlings and second-tier television stars in its wake.
Of course, the promise of new music by David Yazbek (composer of The Full Monty and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) is enticing, but unfortunately, it shouldn't be: Burleigh Grime$ is not a musical, but instead a half-baked straight play with live musicians (drummers, mostly) underscoring the action.
John Lavelle is a swell comedian who seems capable of more than his role allows; perhaps he would have been a better choice for the leading role of George Radbourn than Dale, whose irritating characterization leaves the audience unlikely to root for him.

Well, believe it or not, she now works for CTU (can you say nepotism?) and has fallen in love with her father's hunky new partner, Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale).
In both the two-minute teaser and six-and-a-half-minute promo included on Disc 7, the only recognizable face (other than Kiefer Sutherland's, of course) is that of whiny, dowdy, persnickety CTU aide Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), who, by the way, looks as if she's gotten a much-needed makeover during the summer hiatus.
Unfortunately, there's no sign of Elisha Cuthbert, Carlos Bernard, Reiko Aylesworth or James Badge Dale, but that doesn't mean they won't appear at some point.

Nola (Emmy Rossum) is a troubled young girl who flees her abusive home-life in Kansas to try her hand as a songwriter in New York City.
After spending her first night in Central Park, she finds work as a waitress at a greasy spoon where she is befriended by the diner's fry cook Ben (James Badge Dale), a law student who gives her a place to stay, but more importantly, who enlightens her in the ways of the "mean streets".
Although most of the moments she shares with co-star James Badge Dale work seamlessly, it's when she's on the screen by herself that her talents really become evident.
