His son, Heneage Finch, 3rd Earl of Winchilsea, outlived his own son William Finch, Viscount Maidstone (c.1656-1672) and he was succeeded by his grandson, the Viscount's son, Charles.
John Finch, 6th Earl of Winchilsea died in 1729, without leaving a son to claim the tile and the earldoms of Winchilsea and Nottingham became united under his cousin 2nd Earl of Nottingham who became the Daniel Finch, 7th Earl of Winchilsea.

Son Charles H. Finch married Lenore Boyd, daughter of Martin and Lydia Bear Boyd, on 9/3/1890 in Mercer County.  They had a son Ernest Finch, born 2/14/1899, died 5/23/1899 and he is buried in the Eliza Cemetery.  We have not checked the 1900 census for more children.
Son Lewis David Finch was born 6/16/1851 and died 1/20/1871 in Mercer County, Illinois, according to the Noble/Rader History.

On a sunny spring Saturday, a stalwart group gathered in the undercroft of St. James’, Potomac, to watch a video on substance abuse and listen to two speakers from Alcoholics Anonymous describe their struggle with addiction.
The St. James’ Prison Aftercare Ministry has been operating since 1993, when the church’s Mission Committee, led by Michael Lash, approached the Montgomery County Detention Center to ask if there was any way the church could be of service.
The St. James’ Aftercare Ministry, based on this model, consists of a six-week training course for volunteers, which includes a retreat and two field trips to the detention centers.

He practiced in Cape Girardeau and served as prosecuting attorney in 1943, before leaving for World War II, where he served as a major in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Finch's Busch Series car, driven by Johnny Sauter, was disqualified from the April 16 race at Texas Motor Speedway after officials found an illegal large carburetor during a postrace technical inspection.
According to the statement, Finch contended in his appeal that the carburetor "had been previously presented to and approved by NASCAR officials." NASCAR fired one of its officials last week in connection with the incident.
