Derek Flint (James Coburn) has the answer to nearly every situation known to man. If the official film dictionary had an entry titled "cool," the example listed would be Flint.
James Coburn has the right countenance to exude the necessary blend of cool and intelligence, but he lacks a certain style you would expect from this character.
Flint’s smooth movement through this area to save his four women is one of the better sequences in the film.

Flint (James Coburn), is so cool and knows so much that he's chosen by computer as the ideal person to take over the case when the world's weather is threatened by an unknown gang of apparent terrorists a la SPECTRE.
His Flint is not only a Renaissance man, he's apparently all knowing and all seeing - which comes in handy as the "bad guys" (the leaders of whom aren't really that bad) try to foil his attempts to foil their attempts.
Flint is once again recruited by Lee J. Cobb to be ZOWIE's top agent, this time around to solve a space-based that also involves the President of the United States (Andrew Duggan).

Flint is reluctant to leave his luxurious penthouse with his three lovely attendants, but finally agrees to check out the proceedings.
Flint eventually winds up in the Virgin Islands at the Fabulous Face Spa, and, with only three hours till launch, he and his ragtag army of bikini-clad attendants--who had been lured to Fabulous Face, and are now rescued--reach the launch site, where a major scuffle ensues.

As the film opens, the world is besieged by a series of disasters that are attributable to a group of scientists that have learned to control the weather.
Still, Cramden is forced to offer Flint to the mission and even has difficulty in getting him to accept, that is, until an attempt is made on Flint’s life and his four live in girlfriends are taken hostage.

Flint, the super secret agent and the supreme ladies man really has his hands full trying to foil their plot.
The delightful Lee J. Cobb is back as Flint's curmudgeonly boss, Cramden, as are the secret agent's posse of female admirers, and TV's Batgirl, Yvonne Craig, even shows up as a Russian ballerina.
Only the crankiest among us are likely to find the juvenile sexism of either Flint film worth comment, as it's a staple of the genre, meaning that the biggest weakness here is the same as the earlier effort: a no-frills DVD.

 The SF Site Featured Review: Habitus
James Flint was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1968 and grew up in the surrounding area.
In the same way that Cryptonomicon was infused with the science of cryptography, the language of Habitus is drawn from the ideas of biology and mathematics and the physics of information and probability.
Unfortunately, the book is so much a journey of discovery that Flint is unable to find a good way to stop, and the novel fizzles out in a series of surrealistic chase scenes and sometimes horrific images.
