While Brooks' involvement in The Simpsons isn't as extensive as it once was, particularly while he's in the midst of directing a feature, Brooks still says that the show is close to his heart.
In the meantime, Brooks has continued to serve as producer on shows such as What About Joan, The Critic and a little-known show about a yellow skinned family that is currently in its 16th season.
