| | James LaBrie : Elements of Persuasion (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-13) |
 | | Matt Guillory, LaBrie’s co-writer on 90% of the album (Brian Wherry, a non-member, also wrote, contributing to five songs), is a big part of the torrid success of one of the album’s very few mellow tracks, the moody and murky Lost. |
 | | And as with much of LaBrie’s solo work, there is a hypnotic, linear, almost doomy quality to the proceedings, enigmatically iced with Guillory’s ear candy, even if James and his band never lose sight of the fact that their chemistry is one of front-edge neo-progressive metal chops. |
 | | LaBrie feels so strongly about Elements Of Persuasion, that he will be taking it on the road, offering select US dates and a considerable tour of Europe, Swedish masters Evergrey in tow. |
