This was interrupted by the Indian Mutiny of 1857, but as soon as the neck of that revolt was broken, it became more urgent than ever to provide such a resource, on account of the great number of prisoners falling into British hands.
From the time of its development in 1858 under the direction of James Pattison Walker, and in response to the mutiny and rebellion of the previous year, the settlement was first and foremost a repository for political prisoners.

Terry and Patti James (the "James") filed a chapter 13 petition on November 24, 1997 and filed this adversary proceeding on January 13, 1998 to determine the validity of a security interest claimed by Blackhawk Credit Union ("Blackhawk").
Blackhawk claims to be secured by virtue of "dragnet" clauses in its credit card regulations and the security agreement the James had executed at the time they purchased the car.
James claimed that he did not remember ever seeing the regulations, but I find it more likely than not that they were delivered to him.

Vancouver, BC - 21- year old James Mouat and his classmates at The Art Institute of Vancouver thought it would be years after graduating before they would have designed and built their first video game for production.
But through the unique collaboration between education, business and a non-profit organization geared for helping children, these students have created “A Vancouver Odyssey” for the children and families who use the services at “Canuck Place Children’s Hospice”.
“We knew the children, with life limiting illness, using the services at Canuck Place and their families would be playing this game,” said James Mouat team leader of the project.
