The two VX Racing drivers were side by side by lap four and then Reid join the battle to make it a three way skirmish.
With a new race distance — 16 laps instead of the original 14 - the restart saw Turkington make his move for the lead leaving Muller to scrap with Plato for on-track position, but the pair clashed and Muller was demoted to sixth place.
The racing was just fantastic, that last race was a little bit like stock car racing but we have come away from a weekend where we didn't expect to do particularly well with more points.

The race was over before it had begun for the Ulsterman when his steering rack failed at the end of the formation lap, forcing him to retire.

VX Racing driver James Thompson was named National Racing Driver of the Year at the Autosport Awards, last night, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Thompson triumphed over a formidable line-up of drivers, including Nelson Piquet Jr, Jamie Green, and his VX Racing team mate Muller, to win the most votes from the readers of Autosport magazine.
Thompson's name is now added to the roll of honour for winners of the National Racing Driver of the Year Award and joins great drivers such as Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert and David Coulthard.

On a professional level, drivers will use the virtual training as a means of rehearsing their performance, using the computerised circuits to familiarise themselves with the real race tracks.

National Racing Driver of the Year (presented by Murray Walker) was won by James Thompson, who beat his VX Racing team-mate Yvan Muller to the British Touring Car Championship title by one point.
British Competition Driver of the Year is Andy Priaulx, who says he didn’t know he’d won this year’s hotly-contested European Touring Car Championship “until the cooling-down lap of the last race.” This is the Award Button won last year.

AS a racing driver, we perform in a controlled environment, where safety is a high priority and the dangers are limited to a minimum.
As little as possible, because it's very different to pre-empt the start of a race so the less you think about it, the better to be honest.
Some racing drivers who I could mention have been known to relieve themselves during the event itself, much to the mechanic's disgust, but I have too good a control over my bodily functions for that.
