The expedition party consists of J.B. Tyrrell, his brother James Tyrrell, three Mohawk canoeists from Kahnawake, Quebec, and three Chipewyans: John Flett from the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, area, and James Corrigal and Francois Maurice from Isle-a-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan, as well as a guide named Moberly, from Fort Chipewyan, for part of the trip.
