The James Weir House (also called the Weir-McNeeley House) is an historic building in Tazewell, Tennessee.
The following year, Dr McNeeley, a physician who lived in nearby Norris, Tennessee sold the house to the Claiborne County government, on the condition that it be used as a library or museum.
In September, 2004 the Claiborne County commissioners voted to return ownership of the house to Dr. McNeeley (who is still living as of 2005).

James IV JAMES IV., king of Scots, was the eldest son of James III.
James is fully relieved from the charge of credulity which might appear to lie against him for so readily confiding in Warbeck’s representations, by the extreme plausibility which was attached to them, and by the strongly corroborative circumstances by which they were attended.

Weir's year abroad, most of which was spent in London working a variety of casual jobs, seems to have afforded him a fresh perspective from which to contemplate what it means to be an Australian, a question that would inform all his early full-length features.
Weir was aware that any film of this kind is vulnerable to charges of romanticising (or “orientalising”, in postcolonial discourse) an indigenous culture (7).
Weir, however, underscores the perils of the Australian connection to Britain, as the crux of the film rests on the premise that the British commanders knew that the operation was doomed to failure, and had little compunction in sacrificing the lives of Australia's youth.

Marty often referred to himself as an "unreconstructed Johnsonite" and given that James died some 12 years previously, he could reasonably claim to be the last survivor of the tradition.
In his introduction to James' Marxism for Our Times, Marty wrote that organizationally the James tendency was a failure; however, it was a failure that was rich in lessons for a democratic revolutionary Marxism.
