Whale set up a charity in 2006, the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer, to fund research and raise awareness of the condition and to carry out political lobbying.

It won't be the answer in itself, more a vital piece in the overall jigsaw puzzle of truth behind the headlines that we are so often denied the opportunity to complete for ourselves.
Much as it is great that we are getting more interest from "names" than the Tories to stand as our mayoral candidate, I might be out of step with the party on this one, but I can't help but think that Nick Ferrari would be a much better candidate for London Mayor than James Whale.
If Ferrari does stand as an independent, Whale will be dead in the water.
