Jamie Cullum (born August 20, 1979) is an English jazz/pop pianist and singer/songwriter.
Jamie Cullum is well known, not only for his abilities on the piano, but also for his unique entertainment style and charisma.
Cullum's third major label album, entitled Catching Tales, was released on the September 26, 2005, in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, and two weeks later in the United States, on October 11.

Cullum opens with a salvo of three really great originals that immediately establish his ability to handle this kind of project.
Cullum does some nice guitar work on the next track, “London Skies,” and it’s a really beautiful little song that recalls the pop music of a different era, the early 1970s.
Not that Cullum is foolproof as a songwriter.

Jamie’s own “Twentysomething”; has a clever lyric that talks about the woes of the recent indebted college graduate contemplating paying off his loans and holding down a job.
Ultimately, Cullum is not interesting enough as a singer to really keep one’s interest throughout this CD, and there’s too little of his pianistic talent on display to really feel that one is in the presence of an original instrumental voice.
Indeed, the Jamie Cullum Trio, heard unadorned on at least a few tracks, is never given a chance to convey a musical personality, as bassist Geoff Gascoyne and drummer Sebastiaan de Krom are never really featured, merely serving as backdrops for Cullum’s keyboards and vocals.

The whole show he was all over the paino (jumping on it, standing on it, standing on the keys, pounding on it, playing with the strings inside, pausing a moment to put on a bandaid cause he was playing so intensely--going from one paino to another) not to mention the stage--running and jumping around.
