Some of Jampa Tsering's songs were restricted in Lhasa in the late 1980s and early 1990s due to their political nature.

 Asia Times: No-go situation for NGO racism forum
Tsering Jampa of the International Campaign for Tibet said that her organization was shocked to find that no mention of Tibet had been made, despite recommendations from Forum commissions.
Jampa likened Tibetan issues to those confronting Palestinians, which she said were given notable space in the draft Forum documents.
Jampa said that during the NGO Forum most delegates focused on parochial interests and few showed solidarity with others.

In a joint press release, the three groups said the EU's refusal to sponsor a resolution on China was based on the "flawed premise" that action on China at the Commission would "compromise its failing dialogue and provoke political reprisals from China".

 ICT report on China's Racism in Tibet
The 60- page report, entitled "Jampa: The Story of Racism in Tibet," describes how racist language and concepts permeate China's constitution, laws and policy and how this has contributed to the racism and discrimination Tibetans face today.
The title of the report, "Jampa," refers to the protagonist of a ubiquitous 1963 Communist Party propaganda film depicting Tibetans as a backward people who can only be uplifted by the civilizing force of the Chinese.
Advocacy against racism in China is sometimes interpreted as inciting 'splittism.' The Chinese government's suppression of free discussion concerning race and ethnicity in the PRC is of grave concern and presents a major obstacle to be overcome in eliminating racial discrimination in China and Tibet.

The Tibetans (14 males and four females) were loaded by Nepalese authorities into a Chinese Embassy vehicle early Saturday morning and driven across the Friendship Bridge into Chinese-occupied Tibet.
Eight of the deportees are reportedly ill, with three described as being in a serious condition.

Ms Tsering Y Jampa of the International Campaign for Tibet, Amsterdam, was speaking yesterday about the violation of human rights in Tibet by the Chinese authorities when a Chinese delegation raised a point of order by requesting the Chairperson to halt.
Tsering Jampa also delivered a statement today in which she drew the attention of the UN Commission on Human Rights to the effects of the transmigration of Chinese people to Tibetan areas.

In recent years, the European Parliament has passed resolutions urging the Chinese government to commence constructive dialogue with the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.

The petition was delivered with a symbolic number of Panchen Lama action cards selected from over 200,000 received - 3,777 cards, one for each day the Panchen Lama has spent in detention.
