Krukowiecki proceeded to report to the Tsar and arrived in Moscow in February 1815 before he returned to Paris.
In August 1831 Krukowiecki became head of Polish government during the November Uprising, but had to surrender Warsaw to the Russians in September and was sent to Siberia.
Krukowiecki settled on his wife's estate at Popień, near Rogowo, where he died April 17 1850.

Antoni-Jan, Jan and Wiktor obtained the hereditary title of Count of Galicia from Emperor Josef II on February 7th 1783.
Jan (1770-17th April 1850) figures in the 1824 list of persons authorised to bear the title of Count in the Kingdom of Poland.
On 27th December 1847 Jan obtained the hereditary title of Count in Russia from Czar Nicholas I. The title is extinct.
