Jan Magnussen (born July 4, 1973) is a race car driver from Denmark.
Jan has participated in various classes in the 24 hours of Le Mans every year since 1999.
Jan is still an active driver, now in the Danish Touring Car series (DTC) and in one of the Pontiac GTO.Rs in the Grand-Am with Paul Edwards as team mate – and of course in the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Indeed, points were hard to come by, and after a number of poor drives Jan Magnussen was replaced by Dutchman Jos Verstappen, ironically the race after Magnussen scored his first and only Formula One points at the accident-laden Canadian Grand Prix.

Danish driver Jan Magnussen is on a mission this weekend.
Immediately after the race, Jan Magnussen will step aboard a private jet, because less than 12 hours after the finish of Petit Le Mans, he will have to be in Denmark where he will be competing in the final round of the Danish Touring Car Championship for Team Den Blaa Avis.
Jan Magnussen leads the championship with two point before the final round, but has a difficult task on his hands, as he has to start the prefinale in last place because he will have to miss todays DTC qualifying.

Magnussen, who was making his first appearance with the team and competing in the Grand American Rolex Series and at this track for the first time, was critical of the driver he was racing against when the contact occurred.

Magnussen signed a four-year deal with the team in October last year which was intended to run until the end of the year 2000 but his performances this year have not been as good as expected.
