		Sebastian z Felsztyna was born in Felsztyn - the exact date is unknown, but one may assume the time between 1480 and 1490.
		There were two more theoretical treatises written by Sebastian z Felsztyna: "De musica dialogi VI" (Kraków, 1536) and "Directiones musicae ad cathedralis ecclesia Premislensis usum" (Kraków, 1543), both of which are now lost.
		The latter was dedicated to Mikolaj Herburt, one member of the important Herburt family who supported him through their influence and with whom he kept in touch for a long time.

		The choice of contents of that collection show well that Jan z Lublina knew what the best works available at his time were and where these were to be found: Included are works by Bianchini, Gir.
		Works of Polish composers naturally were included as well: Mikołaj z Krakowa and 'N. Z.', amongst others; many pieces are anonymous, of which some may be by Jan z Lublina himself.
		All the pieces that are contained in this collection are written in old German organ tablature; the transcriptions are not uniform in their nature: Some are limited to literal notations of the original works, others have formulaic indications for diminution, and still others are laborated in compositional detail.

	Bicinium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Historically, a bicinium referred specifically to a two-part composition used as a teaching tool, most often in Protestant, German-speaking areas.
		The term was first used in Poland, by Jan z Lublina in a treatise of 1540.
		Volumes of bicinia were published in the next several decades in Germany, the Low Countries, and even in Italy, as the usefulness of bicinia as teaching aids became apparent.
