I am referring to the letter regarding the General Janaka Perera's appointment as JOC..........I suppose some people at SPUR have something to gain by supporting such a man as him, as Janaka Perera is known to lean towards the 'Green' camp more often than not.
I think a man as notorious as Janaka Perera should never be handed the reins due to his lack of simplicity.
Mr Janaka Perera never ever achieved what he really is shouting about.....because even when Rohana Wijeweera was caught General Perera was the one who told them to keep Wijeweera till he got there.

Since the mid-nineties, the Janaka Art Studio in ‘Ravena’, one of the settlements in Auroville’s Greenbelt, finds artists from north and south America, Europe and Asia working together in the tranquil atmosphere of the place, researching sacred art from different traditions using south Indian techniques, in particular those of traditional Thanjavur art*.
