Jane Lakes Harman (born June 28, 1945), is a six-term Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the 36th District of California (map).
Harman is currently the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and is also a member of the Blue Dog Coalition.
Harman began her career in Washington by serving as chief counsel and staff director for the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Constitutional Rights.
