JanetFraiser was the Chief Medical Officer at the SGC for over seven years, until her untimely death while on an off-world rescue mission.
Fraiser discovered that the deaths of personnel returning from the Goa'uld palace on P4X-347 were dying of withdrawal from something they had become addicted to on the planet.
Fraiser discovered that it was nanites in the Orban Merrin's body that contributed to her incredible intelligence, and that their presence had prevented Merrin's brain from developing normally, so that once they were removed she would become child-like (3.05 "Learning Curve").
Fraiser finds herself in a race against time to unlock the secrets of a virus located on a planet the locals know as the "Land of Light." Everyone seems to be susceptible to the virus with a few exceptions -- Daniel, Teal'c, and Janet herself.
Fraiser's patience is tested when her adopted daughter falls into a "mind fire" (a Hankan term for her condition) on the front porch of their home.
Fraiser Facts: Simon Wells survives the skirmish to return to his wife's side and discovers he is the father of a beautiful girl, who he names Janet in honor of she who saved his life.
Janet's eyebrow was going to be touching her hairline soon, and a smile flicked at the corners of full lips before she could quite banish it.
Janet's eyes were drawn upward to implacable features as the pirate pressed close, molding their bodies together until she could feel every rise and hollow of smooth curves and hard muscle.
Janet instinctively started to cross her arms across her chest, but the pirate captain caught her wrists, forcing them aside as she stared at the pale strip of flesh made visible by the open front of the shirt.
JanetFraiser, in her early life was married to a man who could best be described simply as "male chauvinist".
JanetFraiser quickly became the Earth's foremost expert on goa'uld physiology, and she treated more alien life-forms and cured more off-world diseases than any doctor of Earth.
Doctor Fraiser often provided medical services in the field on other planets, and she distinguished herself in a non-medical capacity when she was among the female members of the SGC that prevented Hathor's takeover of the SGC.
JanetFraiser once CMO of the Stargate Command, now lo'tar to the queen Goa'uld Hathor, mistress of Earth drifted in a state somewhere between sleep and wakefulness as she tried to comprehend her condition.
JanetFraiser had always considered Sam to be a singularly beautiful woman, more so because she was almost entirely unaware of it and the effect that she had on people.
Janet realised that there was nothing of her Sam in that gaze as she looked about her, accepting the worship of her followers.
It was late morning, and Janet had to weave in and out of pedestrian traffic in the corridor as she made her way slowly toward the medical ward.
Janet was just starting toward her office, clipboard in hand, intent on getting into her lab coat and doing rounds quickly before looking for Sam when Louise poked her head around the corner.
Janet frowned, thinking his heartrate was a little too elevated for her liking.
Almost from the beginning Janet's been there to treat the SG teams when they've taken a beating, been possessed, infected by alien viruses etc. She is also the adoptive mother of Cassandra, the sole survivor of a Goa'uld attack on Hanka (The attempt to remove evidence by Nirrti).
Janet: smiles "It isn't." chuckles "Come on, Sir.
Janet: "Yeah, so of course I explained to him that it wasn't the Army, it was the Air Force, and they've had women for decades."
She could return because if you think about she could have acended and she comes back after she does something...oh i dont know heals a member of a Sg team who is heat by a staff blast while offworld.
If Fraiser returns in any type of form it sends a pretty clear message that the showrunners really screwed things up by killing her off.
I know there had to be a doctor on base before they opened the stargate for the first time, but i recall her only becoming the base doctor half way through season one.
And a shocked Bregman sees that Dr. Fraiser, while stabilizing her patient, was shot and killed by a Jaffa blast.
Airman Wells will recover, as well; Dr. Fraiser's decision to remain and stabilize him saved his life and he and his wife have named their baby girl Janet in her honor.
Instead of talking about how JanetFraiser gave her life for her country, she instead reads the names starting with her own of all the men and women whose lives Dr. Fraiser saved.
The character of Dr. JanetFraiser was introduced on Stargate SG-1 during the first season of the popular television show.
Due to the quality of the writing and the wonderful acting, JanetFraiser and Teryl Rothery fast became much loved figures in the world of Stargate and the Science Fiction genre all over the world.
Over the 6-years of the television series, we were glad to have learned more about JanetFraiser (her work and her personal life), and fans of the character and the actress appreciated the screen time their favorite was given.
I mean, it's quite rare that television producers ever intentionally kill off a character only to bring them back later; as usually it has something to do with the actors/actresses no longer wanting to do the part anymore (like Michael Shanks and Don S Davis).
i think that they will bring JanetFraiser back in the last few epesodes of stargate and then get transfered into the Atlantas base as she never realy wanted to leave the show.
However, as much as I hated to see Janet die, I think her heroic death would be cheapened if she came back.
