MSHA was notified of the accident at 9:25 pm., on January 29, 2004, by a telephone call from John Jerrels, human resources representative for Holcim, to Harry L. Verdier, assistant district manager.
A contractor employee who was working with a clean up crew under the table of the raw mill entered a large horizontal duct between the preheater and the raw mill and became trapped to the waist in preheater dust.
A contract employee was fatally injured at this operation on January 29, 2004, when an accumulation of hot material that he walked on unexpectedly gave way, burying him above the waist.

The 2004 petitioning chart will re-appear in the February B.A.N. The only significant changes since the last chart are that the Constitution Party is finished in Delaware, Maryland, and Utah; and the Green Party is finished in Vermont.
Maryland: on December 1, the Libertarian filed a lawsuit in state court, to validate signatures on petitions that include a month and day, but not a year, on the petition.

I hope, for 2004, that I can be more accepting of Michael and Tracy and that we can continue having a pleasant relationship for Kevin’s sake.
It has grown tremendously in the past couple months, and I see that only improving as we continue to love and to learn together as well as lean on each other when it is necessary.
A new career is also in its infancy for me. In 2004 I hope to continue my education and now that I am starting a new job as an intern for a web design company, I feel that my life now has another layer of possibilities that were never recognized before.

Grids were washed with PBS, incubated 1 hr on droplets of biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG (diluted 1:150) with 2% BSA-PBS, pH 7·3, washed with PBS, and finally incubated for 1 hr on droplets of streptavidin-10-nm gold diluted 1:25 with 2% BSA­PBS, pH 7·3, and washed with PBS and distilled water.

 Statewatch News online: European Arrest Warrant limps into force
On 1 January 2004 the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) enters into force between eight of the 15 EU member states.
A Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament on the 15 December 2003 designates the UK's EAW partners as "schedule 1 countries" under this Act (UK: Statutory Instrument) and a guide to the UK's operation of the EAW rules has been produced for the other EU member states (Council document 15585/03).
These countries will accept and act upon EAWs received after 1 January 2004 even in the alleged offence took place before that date.
