However, two independent rebel groups in the west of the country, assisted by fighters from Liberia, have seized villages and the cocoa crops inside those villages, forcing residents to flee to the port of San Pédro with no possessions.

In contrast to the Wisconsin, a major upper basin tributary, the U.S. Coast Guard Jan. 16 closed sections of the Mississippi River to navigation due to flow running at a 13-year low.
Near, yet far, a snowstorm was blown south of Wisconsin Jan. 16 by the high altitude steering wind.
Natural flow in the Wisconsin River at Merrill, flow occurring without reservoir operation, was 1,200 cubic feet per second (cfs) January 12, a decrease of 44 cfs.

Jon Corzine (D-NJ) introduced S 179, the Mobile Telephone Driving Safety Act of 2003, a bill to prohibit the use of mobile telephones while operating a motor vehicle.
As of January 16, 2003, the industry has exceeded that requirement.

Now that Generics are coming to the Java Platform (in the next JDK), I was curious as to how they would perform, since everything depends in how efficiently they are managing the type management internally (yes, in theory there shouldn't be much difference, but you never know).

According to the usual practice of having Senate meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month, the next meeting would be on February 6.
However, the Trustees are meeting on that date, so the Senate will meet on January 30 instead.
Russ Walker announced that he will likely miss the first Senate meetings in March and April, and asked for a volunteer to act as Senate secretary for those meetings.

Now this study is correlational, so it certainly doesn’t prove that carry laws cause more crime, but if you believed that Lott’s correlational study proved that more guns caused less crime you should also believe that Ayres and Donahue have now proved that more guns caused more crime.
