Yesterday, January 30th, another birder was lucky enough to see the SNOWY OWL, at 4:30 in the afternoon, along Route 220, on the sign for exit 78A (as one would head toward State College).
Last weekend, on Saturday, January 28th, in the morning, Tom Raub of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, related that in one field, not far from his home, a few miles east of Strasburg, he saw 9 BALD EAGLES at once in 2 trees, 4 in one and 5 in the other.
It was seen as of January 25th in the part of the refuge called the Savannah Mucklands, but, as far as known, it has not been seen again since that date.
