Expo 2005 is happening at a time when Asia is beginning to play a very important role in the international community.
Seto, Japan has been selected to host the 2005 World Exposition (only the fourth World Exposition to be held in Asia during the past 150 years) and will use this opportunity to promote the Asian perspective to a multi-cultural world.
Take for example the traditional Japanese belief that "wisdom" or gods are located throughout nature (in trees, mountains, bodies of water, etc.) This belief seems to contrast with the general Western idea that wisdom does not physically exist in the natural environment but inside the minds of humans or a single God.

Also the World Expo's have always had long runs, so as many people as possible can come.
I'll assume since it's the World's Expo, I won't need to be a citizen of Japan to "reserve" a ticket like every other attaction over there.
There is plenty of cool stuff to see in Japan though, so as long as you don't just come for the world expo, then even if its not up to scratch you should still get some good value out of the trip.
