The Science and Technology Foundation of Japan announced that Yorke and Benoit Mandelbrot of Yale University will share $400,000 (50 million yen) for the Creation of Universal Concepts in Complex Systems--Chaos and Fractals in the prize category of Science and Technology of Complexity.
