When national competition resumed Jarlath's were soon back in the spotlight winning the 1958 title by virtue of a one point victory over Franciscan College, Gormanston; a score from Pat Sheridan three minutes from full time ensuring Jarlath's carried the day.
Jarlath's were back for more the next year, defeating St. Mel's of Longford in a close, tense encounter by just one point, 2-6 to 1-8.
Jarlath's returned after a three year absence to win in style in 1964, with a team built around well known footballer of the future Coilin McDonagh and captained by Clare star of later years Senan Downes.
