Mr Mraz is a man of talents a-plenty and i couldnt wait to get my hands on this - been a long time waiting.
Jason Mraz has such an eclectic style and it is perfectly displayed on Mr A-Z. It would be unfair to pigeon-hole him with other artistes.

The lyrics are witty, which reminded me of BNL without the comical music and at the same time very heartwarming biography of Jason.
We heard Jason Mraz on Austin City Limits 11/03, and I ran to the computer to order the CD.
Mraz reminds me of Sting with his almost poetry-like lyrics -- my favorite being "Are you in the mood for some dude, are you in the mood to be subdued...." He duplicates that interesting choice twist of words lin most (if not all) his songs.

A-Z" is a sparkly sheen (courtesy of U2 producer Steve Lillywhite) that may alienate fans that gravitated toward the airy folkiness of his full-length debut, "Waiting for My Rocket to Come." It shouldn't matter, though, because he wrestles the pop demon to a draw with confidence and humor.
It's his tainted-angel tenor that really makes Mraz special, though, so the sparest moments are where he really shines.
"The sophomore slump is an uphill battle," Mraz sings in "Wordplay." There may be a few rocks littering the trail, but he's definitely standing at the top of that particular ridge.
