Jason and the Argonauts (1963) is a fantasy adventure movie based upon the characters Jason and the Argonauts of Greek mythology.
Directed by Don Chaffee, with animation effects by Ray Harryhausen, this film is famous for its fantastic monsters including the harpies, the giant Talos, and the many-headed Hydra that guards the Golden Fleece.
The cast included Todd Armstrong as Jason, Nancy Kovack as high princess Medea, Andrew Faulds as Phalerus and Nigel Green as Hercules

Jason was the son of King Aeson and rightful heir to the throne, but before he was born, his father's half brother Pelias had overthrown and imprisoned the king.
Jason's mother pretended that he died at birth, but secretly gave him away to the centaur Chiron, who brought him up.
Also included, of course, are the heroic mortals, figures such as Jason, Aeneas, Helen, Achilles, and Odysseus, all brought to life in a fascinating series of portraits drawn from a wide variety of ancient literary sources.
