Kalam wished that Jayakanthan, with his laser vision, continued to capture the transformation that the present society was witnessing and provide further impetus to the thinking process among the youth leading to their development.
Jayakanthan is a land mark in Tamil prose writing and has contributed immensely to the enrichment of the language through his short stories, novels and essays during the last five decades, the President said.
