		The Jedi, (Qui-gon and his apprentice Obi-wan,) are there to make the elections go smoothly, but the Jedi fear that there is some sort of connection between the hill people who vowed never to come to the capital of Gala and their leader, Elan, might be the true heir to the throne.

		As things go downhill quickly on Melida/Daan, Obi-Wan begins to realize that leaving the Jedi was a mistake and that they are the only ones who can help save the planet from more war.
		There was also a good glimpse of the Jedi Temple and we see Yoda a bit more.

		That's alright Obi-Shinobi, but I do recommend Jedi Apprentice, it's a very good series taking place about 10 years before TPM and focusing on Obi-Wan's apprenticeship to Qui-Gon.
		I agree that one of the things that makes these stories compelling is that they allow us to glimpse the relationship between qui-gon and obi-wan, and we wanted to see more of that after TPM didn't do enough for us in that regard.
