	Jeep Jeepster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The original Jeepster ("VJ" internally) was produced from 1948 through 1950, though some leftover models were sold under the 1951 model year.
		The VJ Jeepster was powered by the 72 hp (53 kW) "Go Devil" engine, a 134 inÂ³ (2.2 L) straight-4 also used in the CJ.
		The Jeepster was revived in 1966 in the form of the Jeepster Commando ("C101").

		Though not equipped with four-wheel drive, the Brooks Stevens-designed VJ Jeepster was an attempt to appeal to a broader segment of the market by leveraging the brand recognition that Jeep established during World War II.
		In addition to the stunning 1950 Jeepster shown on these pages, he owns five other 1950s Jeeps, and, naturally enough, his daily driver is a 1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
		Unfortunately, not much history of his Jeepster is known, which carries serial number 473VJ10431 and was one of 5,845 Jeepsters produced for the 1950 model run, some of which were retitled and delivered as 1951 models.

	What's New?
		Nothing new on the Jeepster, except that two of the carburetor bolts snapped off in the mounting holes on the intake manifold, so I have to extract those before I can put the carb back on.
		It only took an hour to put them all in their envelopes and get them shipped out, so if you ordered one you should be getting it by the end of the week.
		I received the Jeepster Service Manual for Christmas, as well as A Guide To 199 Michigan Waterfalls, many of which can be reached only by foot or four wheel drive, so I'm looking forward to some Springtime waterfall trips and some good photo-ops.
