Jeff Healey (born March 25, 1966) is a Canadian blues-rock guitarist.
Healey is perhaps most notable for his blindness, and his unique style of playing guitar flat on his lap.
Jeff Healey has, from time to time, hosted a CBC Radio program titled, "My Kind of Jazz," in which he plays records from his vast vintage jazz collection.

Healey received his first guitar from his uncle at the age of three and started playing with his unique lap-top style.

Throughout the show his roadie also kept a constant supply of beer in plastic cups that Jeff would finish off and then toss the empty cup out into the audience to the delight of most in the crowd (those not getting sprinkled with beer that is).
I think Shannon was a little in awe of Healey and in the end, as good as Shannon is, she was no match for Healey’s inspired guitar display.

Still recovering from a bruised or strained, or worse, rib from playing in the pit at the three-weeks previous Supersuckers/Throw Rag extravaganza, I drove a little hesitantly to the old stomping grounds for some of those road house blues.
My only gripe was the lack of more original material in his set, but in all fairness his playing made up for it.
Sitting front and center with his guitar, a pedal board in front of him, and his Marshall half-stack behind him, Jeff pretty much played the night away.
