When Wilson introduced a romance between Irv and "Mike", a female co-worker who was a single parent, the new strip concept LOOSE ENDS was born.
To this point, Jeff had drawn all his characters with huge eyes and Schulz told him these "were very unpleasant to look at", so Wilson reluctantly adjusted his style.
At this time Wilson was a key animator/model and prop designer for an animated TV series "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin", with Atkinson Film Arts in Ottawa, Canada.

Kathleen Breeden, the cartoonist at the center of case of plagiarism at Harvard, has come out saying that only one of the cartoons was copied and the others are her original ideas.
The cartoonist should be instructed to draw in a square or vertical format, and encouraged to draw local cartoons, and to use more words or multiple panels, and to develop a unique style and voice.
The Harvard Crimson’s editorial cartoonist, Kathleen Breeden’s editorial cartoons are coming under scrutiny for possible plagiarism.  An unnamed individual informed the the newspaper Saturday and pointed out the similarities of her work with those on Cagle.com.  In question are four cartoons published on September 22nd and October.

Wilson is most closely associated with the comic strip The Avridge Farm, which he began in 1987.
He has long campaigned to have a copy of the movie available for local residents to see and he was able to achieve this with the tireless work and effort of Philip Lubert of Rogers Television.
