Scott told us in the interview of bumper to bumper westbound traffic leaving Louisiana, gas stations out of gas, and elevated highways being used to park vehicles, including electrical utility repair vehicles staged in the area waiting for Katrina to make landfall.
Although many evacuated there are numerous shelters open in the area including the Super Dome in New Orleans and a Junior High School in Jefferson Parrish.
Everyone is waiting and bracing for daybreak on Monday to see just where this storm is heading and what it will leave in its’ wake.
