 Responders in serious condition after ambulance crash - Jefferson County, Oregon
Two Jefferson County ambulance personnel, the patient they were transporting and the driver of another car were injured in a collision Monday, Aug. 1, on U.S. Highway 97 in Redmond.
According to a press release from Capt. Alex Maich of the Redmond Police Department, the Jefferson County ambulance was transporting patient William P. Davis and headed south on Highway 97, when it impacted a car driven by Casey J. Hagan, which was almost stopped in the center lane to make a left turn.
The impact of the collision pushed Hagan's car 140 feet backwards, and caused the ambulance to cross three lanes of traffic and roll onto its right side some 40 feet off the east side of the highway.
