After the "final" version of the article was submitted to Rocks and Minerals, I had lunch with Jeffrey de Fourestier and other colleagues.
It soon became apparent that Jeffrey had considerable knowledge not only of mineralogy but also of the Chinese language, so I asked him if he would review the article.
An important aspect of Jeffrey's work involved his explanation of the correct form in which the names of Chinese authors should be given and how words written in Chinese in general are transliterated into Western languages.
