Jennie Bond, the former BBC royal correspondent, is to reveal what she really thinks about the monarchy in a new television documentary series about the Royal Family.
Bond, who is presenting the series for Channel 5, said that she intends to speak frankly about her private encounters with the royals over the 14 years she spent reporting on their affairs for the BBC.
She said yesterday she was relishing the chance to disclose her private views on the royals and the institution of the monarchy now that she was no longer obliged to maintain the objectivity and balance required of news reporters.
