The Garber area, north-central Oklahoma, is characterized by a pop-up block with an associated graben (related to a releasing bend or representing a pull-apart “basin”) (Figure 5).
Jennings, like the Garber area, represents a case where the structure (in the graben) was known to be low and correspondingly was “condemned” for 30 years before the development of eight new wells that resulted in additional reserves.

Attorney, outlaw, and gubernatorial candidate, Alphonso J. "Al" Jennings was born in Virginia in 1863.
Jennings was wounded by law officers on November 30, 1897, and captured one week later on Carr Creek near Onapa in present McIntosh County.
In 1899 Jennings was sentenced to life in prison, but, due to the legal efforts of his brother John, his sentence was reduced to five years.

Jennings worked in the early motion picture industry, appearing in 13 movies through 1939, receiving writing credits for three others and was a producer in two more.
Jennings, one of the last bad men of the West, died at age 98 in December 1961 at his home in Tarzana and is buried in Chatsworth.
