		I could understand how the film was considered a masterpiece as all i could see was how sexy jenny agutter character was, but having seen it again it is a very good film, and its a shame there are not more films like this around.
		I think the acting is the best that any of them has ever given, and when you consider how many films jenny agutter made it makes it all the more remarkable how good the film is. May it me remembered in the years to come.
		Jenny Agutter's character experiences the same feelings for the Aboriginal boy as he feels for her, who in turn interacts with her younger brother.

		Roeg had always intended it to be a cautionary morality tale, in which the limitations and restrictions of civilization become painfully clear when the two children (played by Jenny Agutter and Roeg's young son, Lucien John) cannot survive without the aborigine's assistance.
		I suppose it was a bit too racy for American audiences as Roeg focuses lovingly on a young nubile Jenny Augutter but that would be missing the point of this movie which contrasts the sterile life of a young British girl and boy with an Aborigine man-child.
		It is ironic that, at the end, all Agutter's character can think about is how pleasant it was to live in the wild with her Aborigine friend.
