Interview with STRATOVARIUS :: Maelstrom :: Issue No 12
Jens Johansson: I think what [Timo Tolkki] was thinking was that there are a lot of problems with religions, like wars.
Jens Johansson: The only way we might do that is if we sample the stuff and trigger it while you play.
Jens Johansson: I think that part of the problem is that it's very difficult to compete with the big companies here in the States.

Stratovarius - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The release of Fourth Dimension in 1995 was a great success, but internal differences in the band, particularly of the style the band was going for, prompted the departure of long-time drummer Tuomo Lassila and keyboardist Antti Ikonen.
Two new non-Finnish members were recruited: Swedish keyboardist Jens Johansson, of Yngwie Malmsteen fame; and German drummer Jörg Michael.
Tolkki hired a new singer, Katriina "Miss K" Wiiala, and Anders Johansson of Hammerfall (Jens's brother) temporarily on drums.

 Interview with Jens Johansson
Jens Johansson is the keyboard guy that got snatched away from the rather unknown Swedish band Silver Mountain by a slightly more known Swede by the name of Yngwie J. Malmsteen when he went solo after leaving Alcatrazz in 1984.
Jens, one of a handful of the finest keyboard players in the world (with Kevin Moore, Tony McAlpine and Rick Wakeman I suppose), is still very much active in the music business, although not as obvious as he used to be.
Jens: Raise the average IQ of the planetary population by 100, extend the average life span for humans human to 900 years, make interstellar travel cheap, and readily available.

In 1996 Jens recorded a demo piece Bill had written and the decision to do a full instrumental album was agreed upon.
But Jens had since found work with the Finnish metal band "Stratovarius" and their schedule was keeping him busy as Mastermind was about to embark on a busy year of touring, so it wasn't until late 1997 - 10 years after that first chance meeting - that definite plans to record together were scheduled.
In January 1998 Jens was in the studio with Mastermind recording all new music Bill had written specifically for this album since returning home from touring.
