		Jeongeup (Jeongeup-si) is a city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea.
		Jeongeup is connected to the Honam Expressway and Honam Line.
		Jeongeup is located nearby Naejang-san National park, which is a very popular destination, particularly in Autumn due to its spectacular Autumn foliage.

		Description: Chungryeolsa is a shrine to Adm. Yi Sun-sin, Korea's greatest naval hero, who rose to fame by breaking the back of the Japanese Invasion in 1592 with the world's first iron battleships, or turtle ships, called "Geobukseon." Located on the mid-slope of Mt. Gumisan, the shrine overlooks Jeonju City.
		Admiral Yi briefly served as magistrate of Jeongeup (now called Jeonju) and then was promoted to the Left Admiral of the Jeolla Navy in 1591.
