osmosoft - open source applications from BT
Jeremy is the only real constant in Osmosoft, the company he set up in 2005, that BT acquired this May. After a career creating inspiring software, Jeremy is now BT's Head of Open Source Innovation.
Jeremy announced the acquisition of Osmosoft by BT on the 29th May in [[this blog posthttp://jermolene.wordpress.com/2007/05/29/i-for-one-welcome-my-new-bt-overlords]].
Jeremy transferred the rights to [[UnaMesahttp://www.unamesa.org/about.html]], the non-profit organisation of which [[TiddlyWiki.orghttp://www.tiddlywiki.org]] is a subsidiary.

ServerSideWiki - powered by Ruby on Rails and TiddlyWiki
It's still not exactly collaborative (it's in the works), but it's not a single monolithic HTML file glued to your person anymore.\n\nThere are other online versions of TiddlyWiki that you can find at [[Jeremy's sitehttp://www.tiddlywiki.com/#TiddlyWikiAdaptations]], but of course none powered by RubyonRails.
I'm going to check with Jeremy (author of TiddlyWiki) to see if he has an alternative suggestion, but I think this works well.
Should be fun, looks like he's changed a lot of stuff.\n\nYes, the launchs is still forthcoming.\n\nP.S. On a side note the now free Opera 8.5 seems to work perfectly for me with the default blue style.

Jeremy Ruston: Slight aside about the previous point: 15 to 20 years ago, all computers came with a BASIC interpreter; the owner was expected to do a bit of programming, or at least tinker with other people's programs.
Jeremy Ruston: I think a lot of the people who are actually using TiddlyWiki (as opposed to hacking the code) don't ever publish their stuff.
Jeremy Ruston: yeah, there's a sizeable percentage of 'normal people' who I see sit in front of it: they scroll it up and down, and don't actually click on anything, and so completely miss the point....

Jeremy Ruston: One thing that was definitely a surprise was the translation activity.

Here, anyway, is part of my chat with Jeremy Ruston (the whole thing is here).
Jeremy Ruston: blogging seems essentially ephemeral because individual posts are often so meaningless shorn of their context, while using tiddlywiki can lead to the production of a coherent body of work, something of lasting value.

Chris Kaminski I recognised, Joe Clark introduced him to me the previous day, and I blanked horribly trying to recall who he was (even though I spent most of the few days before pouring over WaSP blog entries about Acid 2, most of them authored by Chris).
As Jeremy Keith pointed out, the Document Object Model was the third standard that WaSP fought so long and hard for.
