Along the way, Kenai encounters various characters who aid him in his quest, such as Koda (Suarez), a bear-cub looking for his mother, and Rutt (Moranis) and Tuke (Thomas), two Canadian moose whose lack of intelligence is made up for by their enthusiasm for the journey.
Koda claims to know the location of the mountain Kenai seeks, but Kenai is reluctant to follow the cub, such is his hatred of bears.

Random animal voices are all comic relief, because the four legged beasties are none too swift as far as the gray matter is concerned, provided by Estelle Harris, Greg Proops, Daniel Mastrogiorgio and Paul Christie.
