		April 16: Two Indian institutes of management today took time from the Supreme Court to continue talks with the government to amicably settle the dispute over a proposed fee cut while sticking to their stand that they would charge the current rate in the upcoming session.
		The faculty council of IIM Calcutta, which has made an application to the court requesting that it be made a party to the case, will now have to go along with the other two.

	Encyclopedia: N.R. Narayana Murthy
		Murthy is the brother-in-law of serial entrepreneur Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande and the uncle of former NASSCOM Chairman and MphasiS chief Jerry Rao.
		Murthy served as CEO of Infosys for twenty years, and was succeeded by a fellow co-founder Nandan Nilekani in March2002.

		When CMN contacted Jerry Rao, Chairman of Mphasis BFL, he admitted to the board approving buy back decision and having formed a committee to look into the matter.
		Apparently, Mphasis BFL has got its board nod to buy its shares back from its investors.
		However, when CyberMedia News contacted Rahul Bhasin, partner at BPEP, he said that Barings is not “looking at increasing the stake and also not looking to sell.” However, he did mention that the MphasiS BFL's shares were undervalued and hence the board's decision to buy-back the shares.

		This Banglaore-based software service provider founded by ex-Citibanker Jerry Rao, has been ranked at number four, beating bigger industry peers like Infosys, Wipro, Satyam and Cognizant.
