Jerry’s appearance is made possible by assistance from the Ludwig/Musser Company, of which Jerry in now celebrating his 30-year association, and Innovative Percussion.
Jerry will also be on tour in February presenting jazz improvisation clinics and solo concerts throughout Florida that includes; USF — Tampa Florida, UNF — Jacksonville, and Rollins College — Orlando.
Jerry and the Group will talk to the students about their musical careers and perform an informative concert of original and standard jazz compositions.

Jerry Tachoir is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston.
For twelve years, Jerry Tachoir was leader of his own jazz quartet and performed throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe at colleges, jazz clubs, and leading international jazz festivals including Montreux, Montreal and Pittsburgh Jazz Festivals, the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland, and the Pori Jazz Festival in Finland.
Jerry Tachoir can be heard with his quartet on his Truetone recording of FORCES and CANVAS on the I.T.I. label.

A unanimous decision by judges in the First Annual Women in Jazz Composer Contest has made Marlene Tachoir this year's "Queen of Jazz Composition." Tachoir won the award for her original composition "Flyer," a tune she recorded with the Group Tachoir, a quartet led by her husband, Jerry Tachoir.
Tachoir on vibes, Rusty Holloway on bass and Chester Thompson on drums.
Tachoir has been an active composer for over 20 years, writing for small ensembles and large groups.

Composer/pianist Marlène Tachoir of Nashville, TN, was named the first-prize winner of the Global Music Network's Women in Jazz composer contest.
Her composition "Flyer," the unanimous choice of the judges, has been recorded by Tachoir a group led by her husband, vibraphonist Jerry Tachoir '77.
Tachoir also recently finished a multimovement work titled Vibraphone Concerto for Orchestra and is penning a book about piano voicings.
